for those unaware, this sunday marked the 2nd week i have attended a local unitarian/universalist service.
i have given them a try because i no longer feel that isolating myself from people is good for me.
also, they are creed-less, dogma-less, and liberal.
Sounds like a worthwhile effort, nice to see a religious organization with an open mindset willing to look into things to establish their
own perceptions, very unlike the JWS.
This what a like about some religious sects they open their doors to people but don't necessarily lock them in once their inside
strife with regulated indoctrination.
why is it that on jw discussion boards, anyone who brings up difficult issues or questions will soon be banned from the site, while sites like this one where debate and discussion are encouraged, we welcome believing jws with open arms?.
of course, most of us here know the answer to that!
but it is something to take note of, and to mention when you get a chance.. there was a recent post about a jw group on facebook.
The JWS have been fully indoctrinated with the suggestion that their religion is the one and only true religion chosen by god
and as I mentioned before this sets up a huge wall structured to protect the organization and the people within it,
anything that intervenes that thought cracks and dismantles that image and the person that is not standing up and protecting it is deemed
spiritually weak. So you can see there is a lot of psychology going on there and this the why the JWS act and behave the way they do.
how many people here recognize the jw's as the best organization of christlike people the world has to offer.
but that the organization, a self admitted manly organization, self admited uninspired and self admitted imperfect organization, has gon awry ?.
i am here with that prediciment.
KS , your assumption that the JWS are the only Christan sect that is opposed to war is a false one , there many many Christian faiths that are
against any kind of war and who actually have stricter social demands on to the sect's behavior. Mennonites , Hamish quickly come to mind.
I'm starting to think that your recent discovery of information about the WTS. has startled you and may have broken down somewhat
a pure serene image of the organization that you have had, given the information out there on this organization this is not too surprising.
I'm sure your not alone by any means there many JWS that are going through the same upheaval based off the many unknowns of the WTS.
coming mostly by way of the inter-net. The many falsehoods of this organization to keep it going and supported is alarming once viewed
together as a whole. Many folks here and on other forums like this one have spent 10, 20 , 30 or more years in some fashion integrated with
the JWS and have family members who are still apart of this organization, so like yourself we have been awoken too by this alarming information
that you yourself have just stumbled upon and are trying to consume and evaluate.

KS, glad your starting to realize the untruth of " The Truth ", in answer to your question on how many people here contain within
themselves that the JWS are still the best Christian like organization around is kind of a slanted bias by yourself don't you think ?
My opinion of the JWS is that since it was started by corrupt disingenuous businessmen and lawyers it therefore grew itself from that very foundation.
Basically what they have done is commercially exploited the belief in the bible and people to create a Kingdom of their own complete with
all of the attached power and money, not exactly what you would call truthfully endearing themselves to humanity would you ?
Perhaps its this unseen commercialization $$$ that adulterated the inner effort of what the organization was trying to accomplish.
I wonder what God and Jesus are thinking when they see so many people JWS and others selling the Gospel and living off the prevails of those sales.?
I guess thats what you call freedom in America !

what is your favorite type of coffee drink?.
i don't know too much about all these different kinds.. how does steamed milk affect the flavor as opposed to cold cream?
or is it a 'temperature thing' that makes the difference?.
Starbucks is obviously not the best coffee house there is , they just happen to be the most well known because there are so many of them
and the business itself is publicly traded. Personally I find most of their coffees over roasted and therefore too strong .
My most liked drink there would probably be their Carmel frappochino .

I'm always weary of people doing this because most of the time the people you meet at the hall and the ones that you attend with are thinking,
see he's starting to this is the truth, there is nothing out in the wicked system of things and he knows it.
There is the potential of people setting themselves back a few paces with their loved ones and relatives and therefore caution
should be in the wind.
Didn't you say last week that you might go to a couple of meetings to see if your wife will put out a little.

I think there is great possibilities for people to experiment with computer software and try it out.
It can be both quite fun and learning at the same time and hey if you like what you created all you have to do is clink delete and start over again,

There is no Christian charity in the Watchtower organization , they want people to give their money up to them and only them.
You'd think being gods only true organization on earth that they promote the giving to the needy and poor around the world.
That unfortunately is not the case.
